Christopher Button

Background

Chris Button is an Executive Director on JPMorgan Chase’s Global Cyber Partnerships & Government Strategy team, responsible for cybersecurity operational collaboration relationships with industry partners, government agencies, and global organizations.  Chris is supporting the development of the Financial Systemic Analysis and Resilience Center (FSARC), a private-public strategic initiative to understand and reduce cyber risks to the financial system that underpin the U.S. economy.  
Chris came to JPMorgan Chase from Deloitte where he was part of the firm’s Federal Cyber Risk practice.  Prior to Deloitte, Chris served as a senior executive at the Department of Homeland Security for ten years in a variety of roles including Chief of Staff of the Office of Intelligence and Analysis; a senior advisor on cybersecurity policy, and, most recently as DHS’ Director of Cyber Threat Analysis.  He led the development of many DHS information and intelligence sharing initiatives with the private sector and state and local governments.  His Cyber Threat Analysis team developed models for understanding cyber threats to Federal networks and to private sector owned critical infrastructure.  
Chris is a retired U.S. Coast Guard officer and holds a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Miami (FL).
