A Discussion on Cyber Threat Trends and the Verizon 2017 Data Breach Investigation Report Release

You are invited to attend an event that Verizon and the GW Center for Cyber & Homeland Security (CCHS) are co-hosting on Thursday, April 27, 2017 to discuss cyber threat trends, in conjunction with Verizon's release of its 2017 Data Breach Investigations Report (DBIR).  Subjects discussed at the event will include: 
  • Emerging tools and techniques for fighting cybercrime and corresponding fraud. 
  • Lessons learned in incident response and breach mitigation. 
  • Resources for information sharing and best practices. 
At the event, Verizon will be releasing the 10th edition of its Data Breach Investigations Report (DBIR). This report analyzes thousands of real data breach incidents, providing information on the current threat landscape and how businesses and individuals can mitigate relevant risks. 
The event will feature an initial presentation of the DBIR followed by panel of industry experts.  Speakers at the event include:
