Please join us on Friday September 22nd from 10:00-11:30am for a presentation by and discussion with Mr. Yasuhiko Taniwaki, Director-General for Information Security, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC), Japan.
 
Mr. Taniwaki will provide an overview of important developments in Japan's cybersecurity policy and strategy. He will discuss collaborative efforts between the country's public and private sectors, and internationally, against the broader backdrop of preparations for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. In addition, he will highlight the most recent efforts by MIC to ensure Internet of Things (IoT) security and tackle automated and distributed attacks (e.g. botnets).
 
The conversation will be moderated by CCHS Director Frank Cilluffo, and will be highly interactive with plenty of time for audience Q&A, including discussion about the potential for enhanced cybersecurity cooperation between Japan and the United States.
 
This event will take place on the George Washington University campus in the City View Room located on the 7th floor of the Elliott School of International Affairs at 1957 E Street NW.
