Jeffrey P. Sarnacki

Mr. Sarnacki is a veteran homeland and national security expert, specializing in risk and emergency management, disaster preparedness, business continuity, security, information sharing and counter-terrorism. 
 
Mr. Sarnacki has led public safety and security initiatives at the highest levels of government, ranging from the White House to the Utah Olympic Public Safety Command.  He served as the Director of Response Policy and as Director of Law Enforcement Policy on the White House Homeland Security Council, where his responsibilities included the development, coordination, and oversight of U.S. Government homeland security policy and the development of numerous Presidential homeland security policy documents on issues ranging from disaster response, public alert and warning, to improvised explosive devices, counter terrorism, national passenger screening strategies and to the information sharing environment. As Director of Law Enforcement Policy he oversaw security planning for National Special Security Events 
 
During the 2002 Winter Olympics, he led bombing security planning for the Olympics.  His career includes roles as the Chief of Staff for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), and as the Department of Justice’s National Coordinator for Public Safety and Security response. 
 
He has extensive experience in law enforcement, legal, financial, internal, criminal and other investigations, emergency management and security. 
 
Mr. Sarnacki has worked closely with domestic and international emergency managers, police, and security partners across the globe. He has led the United States on behalf of the President in the creation and implementation of national policy relating to terrorist use of explosives, terrorist identification, information sharing, counter terrorism, National Special Security Events, disaster response, and law enforcement.  
 
He holds a Master of Strategic Studies from the Marine Corps War College, and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Western Michigan University. 
 
Mr. Sarnacki is a Board Certified Protection Professional with demonstrated knowledge and experience in all areas of security management.  He is also a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator as well as a Certified Associate Business Continuity Professional.
