CCHS's policy work addresses national and homeland security challenges from both a thematic and regional perspective. Our testimonies, analyses and commentaries explore the issues as they present closest to home, in the Americas. At the same time, our work seeks to understand how transnational and global threats affect our national and homeland security; and how these threats may be best countered -- including through lessons learned and best practices developed overseas, that may be tweaked and tailored to the U.S. context. By way of example, our region-specific work includes our Special Issue Brief Series on African Security Challenges, produced in partnership with the Navanti Group; and our Ambassadors Roundtable Series on International Collaboration to Combat Terrorism and Insurgencies.
