A Roundtable Discussion on Risk-Based Security and the U.S. Aviation System

The GW Center for Cyber and Homeland Security (CCHS) is hosting an event on Tuesday January 27th, examining the progress TSA has made in implementing its risk-based security initiative and the PreCheck program over the past few years, and exploring the policy and operational challenges that TSA may face as it continues to expand PreCheck.

In conjunction with the event, the Center will be releasing a report that discusses these issues.  The primary author, CCHS Deputy Director Christian Beckner, will provide a brief overview of the report, followed by a roundtable discussion on security risks, privacy concerns, operational impacts on the passenger screening system, and other related issues.
